I don’t have a particular genre or style (or point of view). to paraphrase odb i want all the energy. Ideas for songs occur to me that outline their own conceptual & sonic territory & I try to complete/produce them. If you’ve listened to me or seen me perform for a while you likely know I play some intersection of folk, country, classic rock, classical, emo, indie hair metal, hip hop, musique concrete, noise, karaoke, stand up, q & a, pop, jazz, punk, silence etc that I call avant-traditional aka praying-in-the-dark-core for lack of a better genre label. Sometimes people are like, “this has nothing to do with dark wave!” & I’ll say, “well, you have to triangulate using the other noted tags as well. I thought I saw something on the cube while I was gleaming it. The scanner gazed through me darkly & backed against a wall by other first principles and carbon dioxide, dictated my testimony”
