French artist Double Mixte brought their digital thunderstorm of neon lit noire to the Italians Do It Better family on their debut EP in 2019. Mixed & produced by label head Johnny Jewel, Double Mixte makes art that both contemplates & transcends time's firm grip, a filmic journey inducing a vague sense of future nostalgia. The music combines powerful narrative & dark 70’s French film music to create lyrically vivid songs.
Double Mixte is Thomas Maan. In 2017, Thomas reached out to Johnny Jewel for what soon became a collaboration that expanded their vision into a haunting debut EP. Double Mixte is currently working on a full length album, out on Italians Do It Better in 2023.
