Beginning in Los Angeles in 1990 by Dave Smalley (DYS, Dag Nasty, ALL) and members of Chemical People, Down By Law immediately signed to Epitaph Records. After multiple line up changes, the band released the highly praised Punkrockacademyfightsong. DBL continues to this day with Smalley and long time member Sam Williams.
