Bridging the gap between skater boy pop punk and technical melodic hardcore, Drag Me Down are throwing subtlety directly in the bin.
Formed on the basis that all their music should be catchy, riff heavy and played at a breakneck speed, Drag Me Down formed in Swindon, UK over a mutual appreciation of all things fast and rad. Taking cues from the bands that inspired them (such as Neck Deep, The Story So Far, NOFX, New Found Glory, Strung Out and so on), the band are creating an unholy combination of styles that they’ve dubbed “whatevercore”.
DMD’s lyrics focus on the struggle of growing up in post modern Britain, with a dash of heartbreak, resistance, courage and spirit. Fresh out of the university system, DMD are ready to stick it to the man in the only ways they know how: relentless onstage energy and unwavering dedication to the true ethos of punk.
