Dresden-based Post-Hardcore Band Heavyseas is leaning toward a different sound in 2022.
Formerly known as DRIVE., the band to date has received over 70.000 streams and played close to 100 shows in Germany and Europe. Now they are back back after several bandmember changes. They have always
released their own EPs and albums, shifting from a Melodic Hardcore influence on their 2014 debut
EP DRIVE to Skatepunk themes on debut album Restless (2016) and the
refined Post-Hardcore/Pop Punk sound of their new singles, released later that year.
In My Heart, their new single, serves as a rebirth of sorts for Heavyseas.
The three-piece group expanded not with more people, but with more focus on writing catchy melodies and driving rhythms.
Now, they're gearing up to release new music, fronted by new single "In My Heart”. On
"In My Heart," Heavyseas deeply reflect on losing a loving person dear to your heart.
"'In My Heart” is about trying to cope with loss, going through memories and pain, not knowing what to do next. But then there is also a hopeful site of a loss. You might feel very alone, but it's important to be there for yourself and not let those things get you down.
