Following the release of his mixtape Vitamin D, a successful opening slot on Olivia O’Brien’s It Was a Sad F**king Tour and a 2021 Grammy Nomination for his writing on Ant Clemons’ HAPPY 2 BE HERE, drumaq is ready for the spotlight. With his upcoming debut EP D.I.Y, he is establishing his place as the new face of Pop/R&B.
Born and raised in St. John’s Newfoundland, drumaq survives in Los Angeles where he makes music about his trust issues, shitty exes and unabashed pettiness. While growing up with three older brothers, he has always been influenced by strong, independent women like Jill Scott, Jazmine Sullivan and Rihanna - drumaq is inspired by the brutal honesty of R&B, which is the core of his music.
As a queer artist and notable fashion-head, it’s obvious that drumaq has a strong message and is ready for the world to not only see and hear it, but feel it.
