Dub Across Borders was founded by Copenhagen-based producer and musician Mathias Engstrøm when living in Colombia in 2014. Inspired by the folkloric sound of the rural regions and with a deep connection to soundsystem music, Dub Across Borders have found its place outside of known territory. Having since released music on various international labels such as 45seven (DE), Translation Records (US) and BassComeSaveMe (DE), the sound have steadily developed into a mix of styles, pace and intensity.
Fusing rhythms and instruments from traditional music from around the world with his influences from soundsystem music, roots dub and jungle, Dub Across Borders is a melting pot of musical manipulation. Live in session, Dub Across Borders is taking the music studio on stage, mixing sounds and effects in a true dubwise style.
