With a lineup that consists of ex-members of the Pietasters, the Skunks, the Checkered Cabs, and the Downbeat Rulers, Eastern Standard Time were practically made up of every Washington, D.C.-based ska band from the '90s. Sticking with the traditions of Jamaican rooted ska from the 1960s, the band eventually had the chance to play with the likes of the Skatalites, Laurel Aitken, Bad Manners, Hep Cat, and the Specials before signing to Beatville Records. Eastern Standard Time's debut full-length, Second Hand, resulted in 1998. ~ Mike DaRonco, Rovi
