Before Lil Jon was the "King of Crunk," he and childhood friends Big Sam and Lil Bo were The East Side Boyz, igniting Atlanta's hip-hop scene in 1997. Lil Jon's charisma fueled their rise, with early hits like "Shawty Freak a Lil' Sumthin'" from their debut album, "Get Crunk, Who U Wit: Da Album."

Their momentum surged with "We Still Crunk" (2000), released on Lil Jon's BME Recordings. This era cemented their industry presence and paved the way for their breakthrough, including the hit "I Like Those Girls."

The East Side Boyz' reign continued with Gold-certified "Put Yo Hood Up" (2001) and double-platinum "Kings of Crunk" (2002), featuring an early Pitbull appearance. 2003 brought "Certified Crunk" and the chart-topping "Part II." Their final album, "Crunk Juice" (2004), spawned the global smash "Lovers & Friends" (featuring Usher and Ludacris).

After disbanding in 2005, The East Side Boyz left a legacy of crunk anthems like "Get Low." Collaborations with artists like Chyna Whyte and Bone Crusher further solidified their influence. Now signed with DayOne Entertainment, they've released new music garnering millions of streams and are touring. These crunk pioneers and Atlanta hip-hop royalty are back.
