Ebiet G. Ade's songs often focus on disasters. He wrote "Berita kepada Kawan" after the Dieng Plateau gas disaster, "Sebuah Tragedi 1981" about the sinking of KMP Tampomas II, and "Untuk Kita Renungkan" after the Mount Galunggung eruption. Another song, "Masih Ada Waktu", is also inspired by a real event.
Ebiet G. Ade has just released a new arrangement of his classic single "Elegi Esok Pagi" in 2025, featuring special arrangements by David and Lukman Noah. What's more, he's collaborated with his sons, Segara and Adera, on this project. This song, which tells a story of deep reflection on loss, hope, and life's journey, has been revamped with a modern touch while maintaining its emotional essence.
