Eddie van der Meer is a fingerstyle guitarist from the Netherlands. He started playing the guitar at the age of 10 and at the age of 13 discovered fingerstyle guitar.
When he was 15, he decided he had to create his own voice on the guitar and he started to focus on arranging and composing. In April 2012 he uploaded his first arrangement video. After receiving some positive feedback, he started uploading more videos. It wasn’t until January 2014 that he started taking Youtube seriously and started working on building an audience. At the end of 2014 he hit 25.000 subscribers which was huge milestone for him. In 2015 he released his first original album <a href="spotify:album:5XGniRxYc04TjEZkzscUXS" data-name="Path to the Unknown">Path to the Unknown</a>.
He never expected to have such success on Youtube but now with over 2.25 million subscribers and over 325 million views, he is happy he can share his love for guitar music with the world.
