Canadian singer Edwin grew up in Toronto and was a founding member of <a href="spotify:artist:3zEJAyZ1qSHSx9936UfXuM">I Mother Earth</a> in 1990. He stayed with the group seven years, participating on its two albums, Dig (1993) and Scenery & Fish (1996), also serving as vocalist on <a href="spotify:artist:2Hkut4rAAyrQxRdof7FVJq">Rush</a> member <a href="spotify:artist:4vC9kK4Y7SBM3mSsyeTKCo">Alex Lifeson</a>'s solo album, Victor (1996). In September 1997, he announced his departure from <a href="spotify:artist:3zEJAyZ1qSHSx9936UfXuM">I Mother Earth</a>. He signed to Sony Music Canada and recorded his debut solo album, Another Spin Around the Sun, which was released in Canada April 27, 1999. It was a considerable success, spawning four singles.
