Egyptrixx

Mixing tech-house, garage, electro, and whatever other styles he chooses, Canadian producer <a href="spotify:artist:1mxLQuCv5hCBtk108WeiyR">David Psutka</a> offers genre-defying electronic music when he works under the name Egyptrixx. Based out of Toronto, <a href="spotify:artist:1mxLQuCv5hCBtk108WeiyR">Psutka</a> launched the project in 2008 with the album It's Always Places Like This, a ghetto-tech and bass-oriented release that featured a guest spot from legendary <a href="spotify:search:label%3A%22Dance+Mania%22">Dance Mania</a> producer <a href="spotify:artist:1cdLR0Fz14MLkWY78hNTYT">DJ Slugo</a>. His 2010 EP Battle for North America found him on the <a href="spotify:search:label%3A%22Aaahh%21+Real+Monsters%22">Aaahh! Real Monsters</a> label and pleasing the dubstep crowd with deep bass, while that same year his <a href="spotify:search:label%3A%22Chrysalis+Records%22">Chrysalis Records</a> EP arrived on the RCRD LBL imprint with vocals from Trust (Robert Alfons) and more indie electronic-oriented tones. In 2011, the <a href="spotify:search:label%3A%22Night+Slugs%22">Night Slugs</a> label released the techno and electro-filled album Bible Eyes, while 2012 saw him partner with former <a href="spotify:artist:1bfBtcmdmFLIoDp1SnVQsm">Thrush Hermit</a> member Ian McGettigan for their <a href="spotify:artist:3ioT3WTw4oAceNWtPyuL9D">Hiawatha</a> project and Language album. In 2013, he returned to work as Egyptrixx with the release of the single "Water" and the album A/B Til Infinity. In 2015, the project introduced <a href="spotify:artist:1mxLQuCv5hCBtk108WeiyR">Psutka</a>'s own <a href="spotify:search:label%3A%22Halocline+Trance%22">Halocline Trance</a> label with the Egyptrixx album Transfer of Energy (Feelings of Power).
