Eight and a Half are an indie pop trio comprised of <a href="spotify:artist:7lOJ7WXyopaxri0dbOiZkd">Broken Social Scene</a>'s Justin Peroff and former <a href="spotify:artist:0fdKgNnfYBXuLEwoSdIf76">Stills</a> alumni Dave Hamelin and Liam O'Neil. The band formed in 2011, less than a year after the breakup of <a href="spotify:artist:0fdKgNnfYBXuLEwoSdIf76">the Stills</a>, and was immediately signed to <a href="spotify:search:label%3A%22Arts+%26+Crafts%22">Arts & Crafts</a>. Their debut single, "Go Ego" b/w "Scissors," was streamed via the band's Soundcloud page and official website in October of 2011. A <a href="spotify:artist:6jF345xlOryBwNKDbuAyN3">Memory Tapes</a> remix of the former cut and a <a href="spotify:artist:3VwKSHAfgzV1DOHV0aANCI">TOKiMONSTA</a> remix of the latter were also included.
