Eirene Singer / songwriter
Inner Sanctum release date 29.8.25 Alternative pop anthem. Ladytron, meets Massive Attack meets Kate Bush!
Long time collaborator with Paris Alexander
Eirene's storytelling vocals, whilst poignant and affecting, narrate the darker and more sorrowful sounds. With a raw energy and passion her emotions jump out from a bedrock of deep dark synths and guitar.
Review“Walking On Thin Ice "
Single by Eirene."
EP
Jhana
storytelling vocals narrate the darker and more sorrowful sounds of tracks like ‘Swim’ and ‘Moonshine’ whilst also shifting up a gear to grab the lighter and soulful elements of the upbeat numbers of ‘Light’ and ‘Crazy’.
Paris Alexander’s lush production and mixing has captured the seminal sounds of 4 distinct decades whilst simultaneously providing a seamless flow to the EP’s sound. ‘Swim’ would fit nicely into the late 60’s Stax/Atlantic catalogue, ‘Light’ has all the hallmarks of Donna Summer’s late 70’s material, ‘Crazy’ is the perfect 80’s synth-driven post-punk track whilst ‘Moonshine’ has all the hallmarks of the 90’s trip-hop scene.
Extra instrumentation came via Australia’s Greg Weir (UIU/TRUCK STOP ALIEN) who dialled in his synths on ‘Light’ from Perth, Martin Meadows’ whose drums lead the groove on ‘Moonshine’ whilst Dave Vigay and John Bussman contributed to that awesome Stax/Atlantic sound on drums and guitar respectively.
