Elegie grew up in France but has lived in the United States for most of her life. She began producing music while living in NYC, working around the clock as a corporate executive and seeking an outlet for the melodies constantly playing in her head. Elegie holds a PhD in data science and has also trained in physics, which, together with her passion for hardware and synthesizers, forms a distinctive foundation for her craft. She draws on these strengths by building entire DJ sets from her own productions.
Her journey took shape in techno hubs across Brazil, the United States, and Mexico. She has released tracks on several respected labels, reaching the Top 10 of the Techno and Melodic House & Techno charts on Beatport. Her work has been supported by major electronic music platforms such as 1001 Tracklists and recognized by Mixmag NL, DJ Mag ES, and DJ Mag Germany.
Now based in the vibrant and eccentric city of San Francisco, Elegie continues to champion authenticity, originality, and emotion in every performance. From humble underground beginnings, she has gone on to perform at festivals and major venues across the city, including Audio SF, 1015 Folsom, Halcyon SF, and The Great Northern, sharing stages with artists such as Steve Aoki, Gareth Emery, Cristoph, YOTTO, Diplo, Guy J, and others.
Elegie dedicates her art to her late beloved English bulldog, Edgy. She hopes to use future proceeds to support bulldog rescues and animal charities in celebration of their enduring bond.
