Elisabeth Melander is one of Sweden's most celebrated jazz singers with a career that spans 40 years in different genres, preferably jazz. Elisabeth Melander possesses a unique vocal elegance. With her soulful, well-timed voice; she is a singer who lets improvisation play and who can stretch the tone and color of her voice. She has an ability to build the song on harmonies that warms and not least to sing so soulfully, openly so that it swings freely. Numerous radio and TV appearances nationally as well as internationally. Throughout her jazz career she has collaborated with many of the most respected musicians in Sweden. In 2018 her release "Reflections Of A Voice" was "Album of The Month in June 2018" at the prestigious Jazz Station US. It was also rated top three female singers at The 40th Annual Jazz Station Awards (US) - "Best Jazz 2018" surpassing well-known singers like for example Diana Krall. Her latest album ”Notes From Within” was released early 2022. Elisabeth is also a full-time lecturer at Malmö Academy of Music where some of Sweden's younger jazz singers has studied with her.
