Elise Trouw is a multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter, and producer blending pop, rock, jazz, and alternative into a signature sound that’s rhythmic, melodic, and emotionally rich. Known for her live-looping performances and one-woman-band videos, the San Diego native quickly gained a global following by reimagining songs like Foo Fighters’ “Everlong” and Bobby Caldwell’s “What You Won’t Do for Love.”
Her viral success led to a performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and a growing audience across streaming platforms. Following the release of her debut album Unraveling, she sold out her first headlining tour and opened for Incubus on their 20 Years of Make Yourself tour.
In 2020, Elise joined Travis Barker and Paul Raci to perform a reimagined version of Metallica’s “Enter Sandman” for Amazon’s Sound of Metal premiere. She’s also an in-demand drummer, having performed with Seal, Todd Rundgren, and featured in PBS’s Nebraska tribute with Emmylou Harris and Noah Kahan. Her work has been praised by Stewart Copeland and led to her own signature Vater drumsticks.
Elise’s collaborative spirit shines through in #EliseCollab, an open-source project where fans and musicians remix her music using shared stems.
In 2023, she released her Losing Sleep EP, followed by a national tour and appearances at SXSW, Kaaboo Del Mar, and Montreal Jazz Festival. With full control over her songwriting, production, and visuals, Elise continues to push creative boundaries on her own terms.
