Producer, music school graduate, and Silver Scroll Award nominee, Emily C. Browning is fast becoming a New Zealand name in pop production with her upcoming debut album PRIMARY. Emily has shared writing sessions with the producers behind some of today’s biggest pop stars including Dua Lipa, Shawn Mendes, Maroon 5, and Fifth Harmony.
A strong online following quickly transformed into a dedicated world-wide fan-base, leading Browning to international festival stages and a nationwide US tour with Cory Wong (of Vulfpeck).
Back home, she has thoroughly toured Aotearoa and performed with notable Kiwi acts Jon Toogood, ASHY, Jed Parsons, and Dillastrate.
Emily’s first foray into producing solo (the infectious, love-scorned ‘Wasn’t Into You Anyway’), was received with widespread industry acclaim, while the melodramatic pop-ballad ‘Andy’, earned her an APRA Silver Scroll nomination in 2022.
She now arrives with her debut album PRIMARY; an 11 track confessional that showcases an artist honing their craft in real-time. With standout singles ‘Goldfish’, ‘Not done’, and ‘On Me’, PRIMARY underscores Browning’s ability to harness the pop-formula while making the genre entirely her own - establishing her as one of Aotearoa’s most fresh and exciting producers to watch.
