Matthew Stevens (Songwriter/Guitar/Vocals), Ian O’Brien (Drums), and AJ Griffith (Bass) had been playing together since 2016, but it wouldn’t be until the addition of lead guitarist Jared Cummans (and then Kyle Ahlstrom) that Emblems would form its most cohesive lineup to date. The band had grown into its own blend of somber rock, inspired by artists from the last five decades.
