Minneapolis-based, Honeybutter, is made up of <a href="spotify:artist:5axcwmonmG6gQnfkjcIjQ8" data-name="Zak Khan">Zak Khan</a>, Clara Wicklund and Andreas Fenner. With a sound that is warm and familiar, but laced with something darker and strange, their songs take on the quality of dreams dreamt during the longest and coldest of Minnesota winter nights. Genre-bending is second nature to them— the experimental pop of <a href="spotify:artist:6Tyzp9KzpiZ04DABQoedps" data-name="Little Dragon">Little Dragon</a>, cinematic soundscapes of <a href="spotify:artist:1tcgfoMTT1szjUeaikxRjA" data-name="Ryuichi Sakamoto">Ryuichi Sakamoto</a>, and backgrounds in traditional folk, jazz and choral music— all contribute to their alluring, encompassing sound.
No stranger to the Twin Cities music scene, Honeybutter has performed on some of Minnesota's most treasured stages: the Dakota, First Avenue, Fine Line, Turf Club, and the MN State Fair. They were recipients of First Avenue’s Best New Bands in 2021 and shared the Fitzgerald Theatre stage with Grammy award-winning duo <a href="spotify:artist:7vX3cMVyW8gtDA4y855ynF" data-name="Rodrigo y Gabriela">Rodrigo y Gabriela</a> on their 2023 tour, In Between Thoughts… A New World.
