After a four-year hiatus, singer-songwriter Erick Fayard is back with a brand new single, San Marcos Cinderella.

Fayard felt inspired to write San Marcos Cinderella during the early weeks of the COVID-19 pandemic.

"I thought it (his music career) was over," he admitted. "Considering there was nowhere to go, nowhere to play, I had plenty of time to think. And out of nowhere, this song fell in my lap, and was finished in half an hour.

"It practically wrote itself."

Produced by Jonathan Camacho, San Marcos Cinderella showcases Fayard's versatility as an artist. With its intrinsic melodies and catchy chorus, the song is sure to resonate with fans old and new.

"We had to get this right, and choosing to go a softer route made perfect sense. This pays homage to the songs that played in our station wagon and on the kitchen radio growing up."
