Ex Confusion is self-taught musician Atsuhito Omori currently residing in Tokyo. His output thus far can be described as wistful soloist ambient. The Ex Confusion sound is discernible due to Omori's use of older analog equipment coupled with modern effect artifacts both of which lend a highly nostalgic gauze over his compositions. Often utilizing a lone guitar or piano to put his feelings into sound Ex Confusion weaves simple overlapping patterns into slow-moving arcs of shimmering beauty and distant drones into foggy memory. Omori has released Ex Confusion works via U-Cover, Rural Colours, Plancha, and Orchid Tapes, among many others. He also has released two previous albums 'Embrace' and 'With Love' via n5MD. Having appeared on only a handful of compilations in his near-decade making music, the most notable is Keith Kenniff's (Helios, Goldmund) 'For Nihon' and Headphone Commute's '...And Darkness Came'. Two massive charity compilations for which Omori featured exclusive tracks. In addition to Ex Confusion solo work, Omori can also be found collaborating with fellow modern composition nostalgafiles such as Bibio (Warp) and Benoit Pioulard
