Black Brunswicker is the name of the solo project started by Etta Helfrich (formerly Rest You Sleeping Giant) in late 2018. Self described as ambient folk melancholia, Black Brunswicker’s sound combines soft fingerpicked guitar in a wash of delay and reverb with field recordings and natural textures.
Originally from the Bloomington, Indiana, Helfrich relocated to Manchester, UK in 2020 after living in Chicago for a few years.
