Excluded Opportunities was founded in december 2012 by Fred Boks. After his work as Co-producer/Keyboardist/Bass player on the Sylvium Purified Trilogy. He was forced to undergo a heavy (but successful) medical treatment. During this forced absence of 48 weeks (September 2012 - Juli 2013), Fred had enough time to redefine his vision on creating music. This was the moment that “The Excluded Opportunities kicked in...” and Fred decided to start a new progressive project by that name. In his new musical approach without prerequisites, Symphonic "Songscapes" are created, all build on a progressive foundation using his ambient/synth playing style (known from the “Sylvium - Purified Trilogy”), spiced with "unusual" sound combinations, flavors and different musical influences. The first Songscape is called "48 weeks" and will be released in several chapters. A Songscape defines the grand theme in which every chapter tells a part of the story
