Massachusetts Mcs JK, Sha-Elemental, Dirt Rustle & G.I. Jonez formed EXP as more of a collective than a group in late 2010. As they made music together and performed at shows they became a tight knit family. Coming from the Boston metro area, they have heavy ties to the east coast and boom bap styles of Hip-Hop but with a heavy appreciation for all musical genres. Their Influence starts with legendary artists like Wu-Tang Clan, Slaughterhouse, Notorious B.I.G. Nas, Gang Starr, Dr. Dre, Eminem, Beastie Boys, and Boot Camp Clik. Through hard work and dedication in the Boston Underground Hip Hop scene, they opened for major acts like La Coka Nostra, U-God (Wu Tang Clan), Slaine, Action Bronson, Freeway, Madchild, Cormega, and Planet Asia. “EXP lives the culture and hustles vigorously for it.” says promoter Ned Wellbery of Leedz Edutainment. Through many trials and tribulations and lost group members, EXP still remains a close unit trudging forward.
