The Collective Faraway Friends was co-founded by Indian singer-songwriter Ditty, Austrian drummer and producer David Raddish and German rapper Keno, frontman of the band Moop Mama. The three combined their talents after a project trip through India with Viva con Agua, an All-profit organization working for worldwide access to clean drinking water.
The samples recorded on this trip form the backbone of their first album RAIN IS COMING. Water runs through its spine in stories, songs and soundscapes. A mix of documentary and fiction, Rain is Coming takes you on a sonic trip to India and its water conservation movements - the creeks and crowds, the chants of activists and creatures.
Rain is Coming is the first release on newly formed social label Viva con Agua Music – who aims to support socially engaged art. Proceeds from the album go back to projects concerning Water Conservation in India and Africa.
