A UK indie chart Top Ten.
Later in April 1982, Bill’s brother Ian joined Fiat Lux
Polydor signed them and they recorded with producer Hugh Jones. The singles "Secrets" & "Blue Emotion" both skirted the UK charts.

UK and European tours followed along with radio sessions and TV appearances.
The original Fiat Lux line-up disbanded in 1985.
Ian Nelson died in 2006.
Crickmore and Wright reformed Fiat Lux in 2017 releasing a remake of their signature song Secrets. An album of new material <a href="spotify:album:3AAgbEJbWt869bn9JZFAmj" data-name="Saved Symmetry">Saved Symmetry</a> followed in March 2019.
In April 2019 Cherry Red released <a href="spotify:album:2wZhBOPKx854RkKIvsZ5ta" data-name="Hired History Plus">Hired History Plus</a> – a double CD set of the Polydor years, including the previously unreleased "Ark Of Embers" album. That LP, in its original form as a stand alone vinyl edition, finally came out later that year.
November 2019 also saw Fiat Lux return to live work.
In 2020 the single <a href="spotify:album:5jwcoTsA28og0QI01qJcnn" data-name="(How Will We Ever) Work This Way">(How Will We Ever) Work This Way</a> previewed the 2021 third album "<a href="spotify:album:0koH0ecLd0lxnTpFaLFW8r" data-name="Twisted Culture">Twisted Culture</a>", while 2022 brought the Christmas single "<a href="spotify:album:3XPVhOQnfIQpvPXfWFUtGS" data-name="If All I've Said Is True">If All I've Said Is True</a>".
