As the winner of the Emmy nominated VH1 series, Bands on the Run, Flickerstick converted new fans seemingly overnight. Following the series, the band signed with Sony/Epic and released 'Welcoming Home the Astronauts' in November of 2001. The album debuted in the Top 200 and reached #2 on Billboard’s Heat Seekers. The single Beautiful reached #26 on modern rock radio.
In 2004 Flickerstick signed with Idol Records and released the album 'Tarantula'. They have also released two live albums 'Causing a Catastrophe' (2002) and 'Live in Atlanta' (2007), an EP/DVD 'To Madagascar and Back' (2003), and a compilation album 'When We Were Young' (2021).
Widely regarded for their energetic and emotional live performances, Flickerstick’s extensive touring schedule began in 2001 and included sold-out headlining shows across the country. After 8 years of non-stop touring the band made the difficult decision to end the band in 2009.
Fast forward 12 years and a growing Facebook group of fans dedicated to a reunion show ignited the eventual re-birth of the band. The idea of a reunion show gained steam and in January 2022, two reunion shows at HOB Dallas were announced. Both shows sold-out within 12 hours.
In June of 2022 the band announced that it was reforming with a new lineup and would be releasing new music and touring. The first single, Shine On, drops on 9/11/2022.
