Flybanger is a hard rock act out of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Formerly known as Jar, the band has opened for such heavy rock acts as Filter, Machine Head, and Orange 9MM. Rob Wade started the group in 1995 after a long stint in and out of local Canadian bands. The band is made up of Wade (drums), Tom MacDonald bassist, Bryan Fratesi (guitarist), and a frontman simply called Garth. Their first album Knottskull got the attention of several record labels after the band toured relentlessly through Canada in their van promoting the album. Soon after, the group debuted on Columbia Records with the album Headtrip to Nowhere in February 2001. For the album, Flybanger worked with producer Matt Wallace, who was known for his previous work with Faith No More and the Deftones. Wallace also brought in former Faith No More guitarist Jim Martin to play on several tracks for Headtrip to Nowhere. ~ Diana Potts, Rovi
