In April 2009, Daniel Morones and Lizzi Murtough met by happenstance. Lizzi at the time was a 16-year-old prodigious cellist attending Orange County School of the Arts and Daniel was a 32-year-old seasoned songwriter with numerous albums and projects to his credit. Despite their age difference a musical partnership was quickly made. They called themselves Foxxhound, the name being derived from the Disney movie, ‘The Fox and The Hound’. The reference was based on the odd couple friendship between the two main characters, Copper and Tod.
From 2009 to 2013 Daniel and Lizzi recorded 3 full length albums, were featured in numerous media outlets, and played extensively throughout all of California. In the spring of 2013 drummer Ron McGill and keyboardist Brent Brandon joined Foxxhound. In the fall of 2013 Foxxhound amicably disbanded. foxxhound.theband@gmail.com
