“This video (and the song itself) is a glorious reflective encapsulation of a lifetime in dance and song, and holds up the optimism of the song’s intent. Michel creates purely wondrous songs.” – Americana Highways on ‘We Are What We Are’ (March 2022).
Born in France and based in New York City, he’s made his mark as an accomplished actor who’s shared his skills in film, television and on stage, and lately has expanded his creative journey into making music and video that’s personal, articulate, and instantly accessible.
Fritz’s debut EP, ‘On the Rocks,’ is due out out June 17th. ‘On the Rocks’ draws distinct references to his bilingual roots and a multi-faceted creative history that constantly mines new avenues into an alluring, cinematic pop rock musical blend. In collaboration with producer Jason Cummings and Tosh Sheridan, the five songs featured on the ‘On The Rocks’ EP capture Fritz’s facility for writing expressive, insightful songs with a radio-ready sound that’s both evocative and magnetic.
“I think the reward of creating music — or any art for that matter — lies in the conversation and collaboration that precedes it,” Fritz suggests. “I find I’m most attuned to the process when I’m simply listening and allowing myself to be receptive to those things that transpire around me.”
