Mexican Latin pop group Garibaldi -- they took their name from a place in Mexico City where local troubadours used to sing for free -- formed in 1989 and climbed up the charts soon after releasing 1990's Que Te La Pongo. Playing a mixture of tropical and dance-pop styles, Garibaldi had the opportunity to perform live around Latin America, including at the prestigious Acapulco and Viña del Mar Festivals. At the beginning of the new millennium, after Patricia Manterola, actress/singer Pilar Montenegro, and Víctor Noriega departed, among other lineup changes, Garibaldi returned with 2001's Punto G. ~ Drago Bonacich, Rovi
