The members of Ghetto Concept are Kwajo Cinqo from Rexdale and his partner Dolo from Lawrence Heights aka Jungle. Both of these areas are ward communities located in the west end of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. In 1992 they formed the rap duo Ghetto Concept and produced a slew of independently distributed recordings on CD, vinyl and cassette. They won their very first Juno Award in 1994 for the independently released single "Certified". The following year they released "E-Z on the Motion," winning the 1995 Juno Award. With no major-label backing, these independent rappers released a self-titled, full-length in late 1998 on their own 7 Bills Entertainment label. In 1999 they received gold certification for their single "Too Much". Ghetto Concept is a legendary rap group from Toronto and are often referred to as pioneers of the Canadian hip-hop movement.
