Ghost King was formed by multi instrumentalist Carter McNeil, a New York native who spent his formative years performing and recording records as a drummer.

While retaining the psychedelic spirit of his formative songwriting past, McNeil has honed in on his imaginative and emphatic writing style for what he hopes will “provoke listeners’ deep consciousness.” Ghost King emerges as a more focused, sonically stunning ecosystem of synths and glittery guitars bobbing up and down like balloons from the relentless grooves punching below, all while the listener is taken to the “far away” that McNeil croons over on songs like “Any Hour.”
