Born and bred in South London to Jamaican parents, Jimmy Screech blends heritage with local hip-hop vibes in his music. The legendary Roots Manuva noticed his unique style, signing him to Banana Klan and dropping his debut album, "In This Life."

Recognised as "One to Watch" by the Mercury music institution, Screech rocked Glastonbury, Isle of Wight, and Lovebox. Festivals and radio embraced their fusion with Rodney P, Serocee, and more!

Screech's follow-up, "The Remedy," with Roots Manuva, won acclaim from Capital Xtra, Radio 1Xtra, and The Independent. Post-tour, he teamed up with Sleepy Time Ghost to form Ghost Writerz, dropping "All The Way" on the label Tru Thoughts.
