GIDI

GIDI grew up in the Northern part of the Netherlands. He was only 14 years old when his older brother introduced him to a drum pad and the music software 'Ableton Live'. There was no limit to the creative mind of the first music projects little GIDI made that summer.

When people listen to GIDI's songs they recognize the traditional EDM sounds and elements, but sometimes his creative sprouts differ from the mainstream idea. "In one of my songs I sampled some vocal waves and twisted them in such way that it seems like there is something being sung, almost in another kind of language" That's also the reason the song is named New Language
This is the sort of earcandy that GIDI provides in his songs, which keep his audience curious and interested.

In 2018 he released his first EP: I Am which was nominated for a Dutch Dove Award in the category 'Best Urban Album'. This marks GIDI's first steps into the scene and he is eager to grow. In the Summer of 2019 he performed live on several festivals and several artists worldwide are lined up for a collaboration. Like Deraj resulting in the track Genes (Remix) . Right after working with Roy Tosh on a Remix EP he went on to work with several other names including V. Rose, Juicebangers, LZ7, Faith Child and others.

For GIDI though, a song completes after a thick bass, some cool sounds and bursting energy and a deeper message in the song. "Its great when people listen to my music and can resonate to a positive tone".
