Girls’ Generation, consisted of 8 members, achieved great success and popularity with their debut track ‘Into The New World’ in 2007. Since, the group has released a number of hit albums in over a decade, establishing a worldwide reputation as the best K-Pop girl group as they built up incredible new records by sweeping numerous music charts, winning No.1 on Billboard’s World Album Chart and many other national and international charts for years. In 2013, the group achieved ‘The Music Video of the Year’ at YouTube Music Awards with their 4th LP ‘I Got A Boy’, becoming the first and only Asian singers to win such an award, and was named the “Top K-pop Girl Group of the Past Decade” by Billboard in 2017. With accumulated album sales of over 600 million, nearly 3 million audiences over 150 concerts worldwide, and over 2.5 billion total number of views on their music videos, Girls’ Generation continues to prove their global success and popularity.
In August 2022, Girls’ Generation made their 15th anniversary comeback with their 7th LP ‘FOREVER 1’ in commemoration of their 15th anniversary, topping the iTunes Album Chart in 31 countries in addition to No.1 on several Korean and international charts, once again proving their overwhelming power as the top national girl group.
