Golden Fable

Golden Fable are Rebecca Joy, Tim Joy and Jonathan Guy. Rebecca’s soaring, haunting vocal takes the centre stage, whilst multi-instrumentalists Tim and Jon create the layered musical textures beneath. The result is a soaring ethereal sound described by The Line of Best Fit as “nothing short of inspirational”. Based in north Wales, Golden Fable are unashamedly linked to the natural world, inspired by the beautiful and varied landscapes that surround them.


After releasing three critically acclaimed albums through their own record label, Full of Joy Records, Golden Fable began work on an ambitious project with the NEW Sinfonia ensemble, writing new material with the dense orchestral arrangements of Jon Guy. The result is a rich tapestry of sound; a scintillating blend of the contemporary and the classical world, combining guitars, bass and drums with harps, a string quartet and clarinets to create a bold and exciting new work.


The new, eleven-member strong collaboration has already built up a reputation in the live arena. Their unique works have been bewitching audiences up and down the country, and they have received plaudits from the likes of Guy Garvey, 6Music, Green Man Festival and many others. The band have toured with the likes of Field Music, Public Service Broadcasting and Cherry Ghost, and have played a number of festivals including SXSW, End of the Road Festival, Dot to Dot and The Great Escape Festival.
