Graphite Man is the electro-pop solo project of two-time Grammy-winning songwriter and producer, Kyle Rictor. Rictor lived in Nashville, TN playing guitar on tour for acts like Paper Route, Brooke Waggoner and Ben Rector for 10 years. Missing his wife and co-founder of indie folk duo Rictor, Rictor traded the road for a studio and started writing, performing and producing records for artists like Twice Young, Kye Kye and For King and Country, the last of which earned him a Grammy win for the song “It’s Not Over Yet”.
In 2014, after relocating to Connecticut, Rictor focused on making custom music for film and television. Through this exercise of exploring a vast array of genres, Rictor discovered a passion for electronic music and started releasing demos online under the moniker Graphite Man. “Bum Ticker” was released as Graphite Man’s debut single in 2017, after airing on an episode of ABC’s “How To Get Away With Murder”.
