Multifauceted and deeply anchored in pop culture, GSA’s music is a reflection of a lavish lifestyle many aspire to have. GSA manages to stand out through his charisma infused delivery, braggadacious lyrics and resounding hooks.
GSA was raised in an environment that enabled his current self. Attending music school, he studied musical theory since he was a child. Feeling as if this side of art was forcefully fed to him, he decided to continue his studies following a more traditional track. This, however, was short lived, as he quickly rediscovered confort in expressing himself through music: but this time, it was rap. He started releasing music through Soundcloud, where he linked up with producers supernOva and Maidan. His talent did not go unnoticed, collaborating with producer Grumble and artists such as Ghosty Punk, Tussin and Stefan Costea on his debut album ’SENZATIONAL’. His breakout single ’VDFN’ solidified his position, breaking through the underground and gaining hundreds of thousands of streams. He has recently released his second full length instalment, ’@marelegsaa’, which was met with high praise.
Having already achieved this much in a such a short time, it seems like the only way for GSA is up. His catchy deliveries over moody and skeletal beats remind of influences such as Young Thug and Travis Scott. While still in its infancy, we are eager to see how his sound will develop, all while bouncing our heads to his music.
