Guataca Groove is a latin music project by Venezuelan composer, producer, pianist, and percussionist Henry Castro. It’s a project that focuses on exploring music with rhythms mainly rooted in Latin America, incorporating some elements of jazz, funk, and Afro-based music. Castro moved to the United States in 2010 to study at Berklee College of Music. Graduating in 2014, he then became lead Production Engineer at Lurssen Mastering in Los Angeles, working with artists like Foo Fighters, Miranda Lambert, and contributing to the masters of various movie soundtracks.

After a year at Lurssen Mastering, Henry pursued a Master of Arts in Music Industry Administration, completing his studies in 2017. He later joined Joachim Horsley at Little Horse Music Studios, contributing to shows like "Big City Greens" (Disney) and "The Baker and The Beauty" (ABC Network). Simultaneously, he composed and co-produced music for Voodoo Tracks/Audio Network, resulting in two albums: Vintage Cuba and Brazilian Carnival.

Currently, Henry works as an independent producer, pianist and composer, focusing on enriching the Latin Music and groovy repertoire through the Guataca Groove project, and many other upcoming projects and collaborations.
