Slightly contradictory to their name, Cuba Quartet consists of the three musicians Andreas Unge, Gunnar Thullberg and vocalist Thomas de Paula Eby. The three musicians play together in internationally renowned timba band Calle Real , while Thomas also plays percussion in the band Hoffmaestro and Khaliffa. The trio formed Cuba Quartet to record music inspired by the great Cuban acts like Buena Vista Social Club and Ibrahim Ferrer - the iconic musicians that drew the trio to live, study and play music in Cuba in the first place.
