"Hagiga" means "celebration" in Hebrew and in our music we celebrate the cultural divergence of our Israeli heritage. Our music is a combination of Swing, Avant-guard jazz, classical modern music, funk and Israeli folk
In June 2023 we performed at main stage of the international Jerusalem Jazz Festival with the amazing American trumpeter Dave Douglas. That show was released as an album called "The Magician" and it was released on the famous American label "Origin Records".
In June 2025 a new quartet album was released again under "Origin Records" . It is called "Dreams I Dream"
The album recieved anthusiastic reviews, including a great review in Down Beat magazine
In November 2025 Hagiga tured South America (Peru, Brazil and Argentina) which was a great success
The "Alon Farber Hagiga" was formed in 2001 (24 years ago!!) and since then performed in many festivals and clubs around the world, including Paris Jazz Festival, Copenhagen Jazz Festival, OCT-LOFT Jazz Festival (China), Red Sea Jazz Festivals (3 times!), Jerusalem Jazz Festivals (twice) and many more.
Along the years Hagiga has collaborated with very important musicians, such as Anat Cohen, Avishai Cohen (trp), Eli Degibri, Omer Klein, Omri Mor, Amit Friedman and many more
"No other way to put it: the Alon Farber Hagiga is a fantastic find"
