ファッションデザイナー、ミュージシャン、fragment design主宰。1964年、三重県出身。10代でDJ活動を始め、日本におけるクラブDJの先駆けとなる。1985年には高木完とヒップホップユニット、タイニー・パンクスを結成。翌年に日本初のクラブミュージックレーベルであるMAJOR FORCEへ参加。1990年代に入ると音楽プロデューサー、作曲家、編曲家としての才能を発揮し、これまでに数々のアーティストをプロデュース。YO-KINGとのユニットAOEQやオカモトコウキとのユニットOrder of Things、YOSHIKIとのユニットBLUEBYRDS、ソロ活動などを精力的に行なっている。主宰するfragment designではボーダーレス＆ジャンルレスかつ刺激的なコラボレーションが大きな注目を集めている。
Fashion designer, musician, and founder of fragment design. Born in 1964 in Mie Prefecture, Japan. He began DJing in his teens and became a pioneer of club DJs in Japan. In 1985, he formed the hip-hop unit Tiny Panx with Kan Takagi, and the following year joined MAJOR FORCE, Japan’s first club music label.
In the 1990s, he demonstrated his talents as a music producer, composer, and arranger, producing numerous artists to date. He has been actively involved in projects such as AOEQ with YO-KING, Order of Things with Kouki Okamoto, BLUEBYRDS with YOSHIKI, as well as solo work. Through fragment design, which he leads, his borderless, genre-defying, and provocative collaborations have attracted widespread attention.
