Osman “Hypnosis” Mkhondo is an award-winning South African music producer, performing DJ, songwriter, and sound engineer from Pretoria. Since producing his first track in 1997 and DJing from 1998, he has worked with leading artists including Cassper Nyovest, Lady Zamar, Donald, Dr Malinga, DJ Cleo, and Fistaz Mixwell. His music spans house, hip hop, kwaito, Afro-soul, and film scores, with credits on TV shows like Rhythm City, Ingane Yam, The Agent, I Blew It, and campaigns for brands like Carling Black Label and Telkom.
A multi–South African Music Award winner and remix champion, Hypnosis has produced platinum-selling hits, scored television soundtracks, and co-created industry-shaping projects like Sista Bethina. He is also a legal professional, serving as Head of Legal for multiple productions and a panelist at national music and television workshops. Hypnosis continues to bridge creativity and business, shaping Africa’s music and screen industries.
