Through pop music’s many clichés, 'Love, Dreams & Sunsets' saluted the great emotions of the mid-twenties and the optimistic 'happy, go, lucky' approach to life. The album was about daring to live, learning to love and conquering the world.
The sophomore album 'Hope, Fear & Fashion’ from 2020 is part two of a themed series of album releases. Now focusing on life in the early 30s and it’s more mature view of life. Optimism has been replaced by realism and a fear that time is passing making the dreams slip through your fingers. During the recording for the album Fillipsen was diagnosed with chronic hearing loss and tinnitus which has had an impact on the album's theme.
