INWAVES

INWAVES comes from a tiny town in the south of the world. Born and raised in the hardcore punk scene from the south of Patagonia, Bene started his romantic relationship with music in 1996, playing in different bands with friends until recording a first tape in 1999 with skater friends' band C4. Then he was part of Reakxion, Skate and Fun, Flores Muertas, Zero Positivo and Siete al Hilo as a guitarist, then he formed Los Sentidos, Siempre enemigo (a fastcore solo project), Los Más Peores, Brigada Mutante and 3mil Lanzas until finally starting to play live with INWAVES. While recording Siempre enemigo's first EP he also recorded "UVB-76" which became INWAVES' first EP. Although a later compilation "Songs about love and the weather" included earlier recordings. Bene didn't want to play live with INWAVES because he was focused in hardcore punk, counterculture and ethics within the punk movement. At the time he said "INWAVES is just a studio project" but after a few years he was convinced to start playing the records live. Self-taught in music and production he recorded 80% of the albums of all the bands he was in. Thanks to those projects he was able to tour, share stage with artists from Patagonia and other parts of the world. Nowadays he keeps recording at home, contributing with punk movement and helping to fund or release albums from other bands. INWAVES has a strong DIY ethos, playing when and where it's fit.
