Iris Azquinezer, born in Madrid (Spain) in 1984, has performed in concerts throughout Europe as soloist as well as with the different groups she has founded over the years such as <a href="spotify:artist:15lB20Pl4SOybzoOyN0e8X" data-name="Zaruk">Zaruk</a>, with the German guitarist Rainer Seiferth, or the Azquinezer-Galera duo with the pianist Antonio Galera.
 
She began studying cello when she was three and piano when she was five years old with her mother, the late composer María Escribano.
 
She obtained several degrees with honors, as Postgraduate Soloist with <a href="spotify:artist:5oJi3yZmyeP1ia0uIL4090" data-name="Xenia Jankovic">Xenia Jankovic</a> in the Hochschule für Musik Detmold; Chamber Music with the Auryn Quartett; and Master of Orchestra in Dortmund, Germany. She has studied advance courses at the “Instituto de Cámara de la Escuela de Música Reina Sofía” in Madrid, in The Chair of String Quartets, with Günter Pichler.

Iris Azquinezer is a cello virtuoso, composer, pedagogue, and enterprising researcher who broke the mould debuting as soloist in her first record <a href="spotify:album:2cKapP9ooYiqHG7sw2ju5s" data-name="Azul y Jade">Azul y Jade</a> (Blue&amp;Jade).
Iris has brought into life a unique language linking her own creations to the perfect Bach suites. Thanks to this risky and very personal work, she is considered one of today´s most promising Bach performers. She shows a talent as dazzling as rare. Her excellent technique and warmth of sound connect us to our deepest feelings.
