Isenvinter was formed late in 2022 in Copenhagen Denmark, after finding guitar riffs written for his old black metal band called “Witchclad Widow” around 1997-2001 recorded on cassette tapes, which never got released.
Peter decided to bring new life to many of his riffs and record them with new ideas.
The style is 2nd wave Melodic black metal and tries to keep the raw black metal sound on the guitars combined with the melodic leads together with sometimes inspiration from scandinavian folk music, not in form of folk instruments, but in the melodies.
The themes and lyrics is about danish ghost stories, darkness, punishment in the renaissance
Era , death and tales from danish period from around 1500 - 1900.
Sometimes in Danish language and English. As of now its a one man project. This is hopefully just the beginning of more to come. A full-length is in the works.
